About Richard

Originally from France, I am an aerospace engineer by training although I spent most of my corporate life in the Telecoms industry in the UK.

From an early age, I have developed an inclination for sports than later turned into a passion. Over the past 20 years I have practiced different sports at competitive level, most lately triathlon. You can view my blog here:

Our move to Singapore in 2008 was an opportunity to leave the corporate life behind and turn my passion for sports into a job.

Qualifications:

SBR Coaching launched in 2009 and aims to provide an individual, high-quality service covering all aspects of swimming and water fitness. In 2010, we obtained the recognition from Austswim and STA and we are the only swimming school in Singapore to hold both accreditations.

Coaching so far has been a very rewarding experience.  Every student or athlete is different and I always make sure that his/ her needs are fully understood and addressed. Learning is so much faster when it is an enjoyable experience! I look forward to counting you soon in my students and help you achieving your goals!

Our philosophy is that to learn swimming in a fast and enjoyable way, it has to be remain a pleasure at all times. Therefore, unlike most swimming schools, we will not lock you into long term plans. We offer very flexible options, so you do not need to worry about notice periods, holidays, etc.

Some will only need a few lessons as their strokes need a bit of fine tuning, others will prefer to take a break after a series of lessons to practice on their own before moving to the next level.

Some others will prefer a regular session to keep the learning going. We cater for all these situations and will discuss with you what are the best options available based on your goals, availability, learning style and budget.
